About this game

Fleet Hunt is naval battle by deduction: two ten-by-ten seas, two hidden fleets, and one question every turn — where are they? Both sides secretly place five ships, from the five-cell Carrier down to the two-cell Destroyer. You fire at the enemy grid a shot at a time; a hit lights up, a miss splashes, and when every cell of a ship is hit it sinks and you are told which one went down. The computer is not firing blindly back — it sweeps efficiently while hunting, and the moment it lands a hit it locks on, working outward and then along the line until your ship is gone, exactly the way a good human plays. That makes protecting your fleet as tense as hunting theirs: once it finds you, it rarely lets go. Randomise your fleet until you like the layout, then open fire. Sink all five enemy ships before yours go under to win. It plays the same with a tap or a click on any screen, with nothing to install.

Controls

During setup, tap Randomise to reshuffle your fleet, then Start battle.

  • In battle, tap a square on the enemy grid to fire at it.
  • Your own grid below shows where the computer has fired at you.

How to play

Each side hides five ships on a ten-by-ten grid.

  • Take turns firing one shot at a time at the enemy grid: a hit is marked in red, a miss with a splash.
  • Hit every cell of a ship to sink it.
  • The computer fires back and hunts intelligently once it finds one of your ships, so spread your fleet and track its shots on your grid.
  • Sink the enemy's entire fleet before it sinks yours to win.
