Nothing here is won by moving faster. Every puzzle on this page is solvable by working out what has to be true: a sudoku digit that only fits one square, a nonogram row that forces its neighbours, a minesweeper corner where the numbers leave one safe cell. Guessing is possible, and it is how you lose.
They suit very different amounts of attention. Sudoku, nonogram and minesweeper reward a long sit-down; 2048 and the memory games fit a bus stop. Several also reset once a day, so you can come back to a fresh board that everyone in the world is solving at the same time.
