About this game

Sky Hopper is an endless climb with one rule you never get to break: the hopper bounces whether you are ready or not. Every landing throws it straight back up, so the only question the game ever asks is where it will be when it comes down. Hold and drag to steer, or use the arrow keys — and remember the edges wrap, so the fastest way to a platform on the far right is often to run off the left. The sky is built from four kinds of footing and one kind of weather. Solid slabs are what you want and rarely what you get. Cloud platforms carry exactly one bounce before they crumble away beneath you. Movers slide from side to side, so aiming at where they are is aiming at where they were. Springs launch you twice as far, which is a gift until you realise you have no idea what is at the top of the arc. Higher up, storm cells drift into the gaps between rows, and a storm ends the run outright. Stars are the reason to take the bad line. They hang over one platform in a row — often the one you would not have chosen — and every third star fires the updraft: a long, invulnerable climb that shrugs straight through the storms the detour just walked you into. That is the whole game in one decision. Play it safe and the sky rises slowly. Chase the stars and every third one buys you altitude nothing else can. The generator is held to a promise: the layout is fresh every run, but no row is ever out of reach and a storm is never allowed to shadow the last clear way up. If you fall, it is because you mistimed a mover or misread a cloud — not because the sky closed. One thumb, no download, and nothing between the ground and however high you can hold your nerve.

Controls

Hold and drag anywhere on the sky to steer the hopper toward your finger. The left and right edges wrap.

Keyboard

  • Left/Right arrows or A/D to steer.
  • Enter or Space to restart after a fall.

How to play

The hopper bounces automatically off every platform it lands on, so your only job is steering it under the next one. Climb as high as you can: your score is the altitude you reach in metres.

The platforms

  • Cloud platforms crumble after a single bounce, movers slide sideways, and springs fling you far higher than a normal hop.

Storms and stars

  • From a few hundred metres up, storm cells drift between the rows and touching one ends the run.
  • Collect stars for the updraft — every third star launches a long climb that passes straight through storms unharmed.
  • Fall below the bottom of the screen and the run is over.
