About this game
Spider Solitaire is the patience game people graduate to once ordinary solitaire stops putting up a fight. Two full packs are dealt across ten columns, and instead of building four foundations a card at a time you assemble eight complete King-to-Ace runs right there in the tableau. Any card can sit on one a rank higher, whatever the suit, which makes the board feel generous at first — but only a run of matching suits can be picked up and carried as a group, so every convenient mixed-suit stack you build is a knot you will have to untie later. Complete a full King-down-to-Ace sequence in a single suit and it lifts off the board automatically, taking you one eighth of the way home. When you run out of moves the deck deals a fresh card onto every column at once, and it will refuse to deal while any column stands empty, which turns an empty column from a lucky break into a resource worth protecting. Choose your depth: one suit is a friendly introduction that still demands planning, two suits is the classic middle ground, and four suits is the full challenge that even strong players lose more often than they win. Unlimited undo means an experiment never costs you the game, scoring follows the traditional rules of five hundred points less one for every move and a hundred back for every suit completed, and your fastest win is saved separately for each difficulty. Drag runs with the mouse or a finger, or tap a card to send it to the best available column.
Controls
Drag a descending same-suit run with the mouse or your finger. Tap or double-click a card to move it to the best column. Click the deck to deal a row. Keys: N new game, U undo, D deal.
How to play
Build columns downward in rank to assemble eight complete King-to-Ace runs. Cards stack on any card one rank higher regardless of suit, but only same-suit runs can be moved as a group. A finished single-suit run is removed automatically. Click the deck to deal one card to every column — it will not deal while a column is empty.
