About this game
Nonogram — also known as Picross or Griddlers — is a picture logic puzzle you solve with numbers alone. The clues beside each row and above each column tell you the lengths of the filled runs in that line, in order; from those numbers, and pure deduction, you work out exactly which squares are part of the picture and which are blank. Mark the blanks with an X to keep your reasoning straight, and the hidden image slowly appears as you go. There's no guessing required: every puzzle here is generated to have a single solution reachable by logic, so a careful reader can always crack it. Play the Daily puzzle — the same one for everyone, with a solve timer, a streak for consecutive days, and a shareable result — or jump into Free play for endless fresh puzzles at three sizes from a gentle 5×5 up to a meaty 15×15. Tap to fill, drag to paint a run, and switch to the X tool to rule squares out. It plays with a mouse or a finger on any screen, with nothing to install.
Controls
Tap a square to fill it; drag to paint several in a row or column.
- Switch the tool to X (or right-click) to mark squares you've ruled out as blank.
- Row clues are on the left, column clues on top.
How to play
Each number clue gives the length of a run of filled squares in that row or column, listed in order, with at least one blank between runs.
Deducing
- Combine the row and column clues to deduce which squares must be filled and which must be blank — mark blanks with an X to track your logic.
- Fill exactly the squares the clues describe to reveal the picture and solve the puzzle.
- Every puzzle has a unique, guess-free solution.
Modes
- Play the shared Daily puzzle to build a streak, or Free play for unlimited puzzles at 5×5, 10×10, or 15×15.
