About this game
Word Search is the calm, satisfying letter hunt, generated fresh every time so no two grids repeat. Each puzzle draws from a theme — Space, Ocean, Kitchen, Animals, Fruit, Weather — and hides eight of its words inside an eleven-by-eleven grid of letters. Words run in any of eight directions: across, down, both diagonals, and backwards, so the easy horizontal finds give way to the sneaky ones reading bottom-to-top. Drag across a line of letters to select it and a matching word locks in with its own colour band while its name is struck off the list; find all eight to clear the grid. A timer counts your solve so you can race yourself, and every new puzzle reshuffles the theme and the layout. It is the kind of game you can play in a spare minute or sink into for a while — no reflexes, no pressure, just you and a grid of letters. Works with a drag of the finger or the mouse, on any screen, with nothing to install.
Controls
Press on the first letter of a word and drag in a straight line to its last letter, then release. Selections snap to rows, columns, and diagonals. Release on a real word to lock it in.
How to play
Eight themed words are hidden in the grid, running across, down, or diagonally, and some are spelled backwards. Find a word by dragging from its first letter to its last in one straight line; if it matches, it is highlighted and crossed off the list. Clear all eight words to finish the puzzle, and check your time. Tap New Puzzle any time for a fresh grid and a new theme.
