Orbit Rush
One button, three neon rings, and a spark that only ever hops inward. How greedy are you?
About this game
Orbit Rush is a one-button reflex arcade game about greed. Your spark races around one of three concentric neon rings while barriers, sweeping blades and electrified pulse zones bear down on it, and you have exactly one control: tap, click or press Space to hop one ring inward. There is no hopping back out — from the innermost ring the only way is a long, committed wrap all the way to the rim, and it flies straight through the middle ring on the way, so it has to be planned rather than panicked. That single rule is the whole game. The outer rim is slow, forgiving and worth a modest one times score, so a new player can hide there and learn every hazard pattern in safety. The inner rings spin faster and pay double and triple, and your combo quietly rots the entire time you play it safe — safety costs you. Passing a barrier by a few degrees counts as a near miss: the screen pulses and your combo climbs, because almost dying is the point. Every twenty seconds the palette rotates and a new hazard type joins the mix, so a long run travels through four distinct kinds of danger. Crucially, no pattern is ever committed until a fairness validator has proved a survivable line exists through it, so you are never killed by the dice. When you die, the freeze-frame shows you exactly what hit you, and it is almost always the ring you refused to leave. Tap anywhere to go again.
Controls
Tap or click anywhere, or press Space or the Up arrow, to hop one ring inward — the innermost ring wraps back out to the rim. Esc pauses. On mobile the whole screen is the button; there is nothing to aim at. Tap anywhere on the score card to restart.
How to play
Your spark orbits automatically. Your only move is to hop inward, so plan routes rather than react: from the innermost ring the next hop is a long wrap out to the rim that crosses the middle ring, and a barrier there will kill you mid-flight. Stay on the outer rim to survive and score slowly at one times, or dive inward for double and triple points and far less reaction time. Collect energy orbs to build your combo, and shave past barriers for near-miss bonuses. Sitting on the rim drains your combo, so hiding never pays for long. Every twenty seconds the hazards change: static gaps, then rotating blades, then pulse zones that electrify a whole ring, then synced gap chains. Runs are short and restarts are instant, so chase the greedy line.
