Block Blitz
Rotate and drop falling blocks to pack complete rows and clear them before the stack tops out.
About this game
Block Blitz is the falling-block stacker at full tilt: seven tetromino shapes tumble down a ten-wide well, and your job is to slot them together into complete rows that clear away before the pile reaches the top. Rotate each piece, slide it into the gap it was made for, and drop it — a hard drop slams it home for extra points, a soft drop feathers it into place. Clearing four rows at once is the big score, so the game is a constant trade-off between playing safe and building a well for the long piece. A ghost outline shows exactly where the current piece will land, a next-piece preview lets you plan two moves ahead, and a hold slot lets you stash an awkward piece for later. Every ten rows the level ticks up and the pieces fall faster, so a calm early game turns into a real test of nerve. Play with the keyboard — arrows to move, up or Z to rotate, space to slam — or the on-screen buttons on a phone. Your best score is saved between visits. No download, just drop and clear.
Controls
Keyboard
- Left/Right move, Up or Z rotate.
- Down soft drop, Space hard drop, C hold, P pause.
Touch
- On-screen buttons for move, rotate, soft drop, hard drop, and hold.
How to play
Guide each falling piece into the stack so that rows fill completely across all ten columns — a full row clears and everything above drops down.
- Use the ghost outline to line up placements, the next preview to plan ahead, and hold to stash a piece you cannot use yet.
- Clearing multiple rows in one drop scores much more, and clearing four at once is the biggest reward.
- The pieces speed up as your level rises; the game ends when a new piece can no longer fit at the top.
