Bubble Shooter
Aim, bank shots off the walls and burst clusters of three or more. Climb a ladder of levels for stars, or chase a score against a descending wall.
About this game
Bubble Shooter is the classic aim-and-pop arcade game, rebuilt to feel fast and fair on a phone or a desktop. A wall of colored bubbles hangs at the top of the board and a fresh row slides down every few shots, so every turn is a small race against the line. Drag anywhere to swing the cannon, watch the neon guide ray-trace its bounce off the side walls, and release to fire. Land three or more of the same color together and the whole cluster bursts; sever a chunk from the ceiling and every bubble left dangling rains down for bonus points. The bubble you are handed is always a color that is still on the board, so you are never stuck holding a shot you cannot use, and a bank shot off the wall can reach a pocket a straight line never would. It starts gentle and tightens as the colors multiply and the wall creeps lower, rewarding the plan over the panic-fire. Your best score is kept between visits, so there is always a number to beat. No download, no sign-up — open it and play. Adventure adds a ladder of levels on top of that: every level is a different silhouette — an arch, a row of pendants, a honeycomb full of pockets only a bank shot reaches — with a shot budget tuned to it, and finishing under budget earns stars you can go back and improve. Big play earns you something to fire: pop six at once and the next bubble is a bomb, sever five or more from the ceiling and it is a rainbow that matches anything. Every colour also carries its own mark, so the board reads even if the hues do not. From the second band on the boards start fighting back: armoured bubbles that need two matches rather than one, and stones that cannot be matched at all and have to be cut loose from above.
Controls
Drag anywhere on the board to aim the cannon, then release to fire. The guide line shows where the bubble will land, including bounces off the side walls.
Touch
- Drag to swing the cannon and release to fire.
- Tap the next bubble beside the cannon to swap it with the one you are about to fire.
Keyboard
- Left and Right aim, and holding Shift makes the aim fine.
- Space fires, S swaps, M opens the Levels sheet, and R restarts the level.
How to play
Fire bubbles up into the wall and group three or more of the same color to pop them.
- Bubbles bounce off the left and right walls but not the top, so use bank shots to tuck a color into a tight gap.
- Popping the bubbles that hold a cluster to the ceiling drops everything below it for bonus points.
- A new row descends every few shots — clear the whole board to win, but if any bubble crosses the dashed line, the game is over.
Two ways to play
- Adventure is a ladder of levels, each with its own silhouette and its own shot budget; finishing well under budget earns three stars, and any level you have reached can be replayed from the Levels sheet.
- Endless is the classic run against a wall that keeps descending, and it remembers your best score.
Bubbles you earn
- Popping six at once charges a bomb, which clears a ring whatever the colours are.
- Severing five or more from the ceiling charges a rainbow, which matches whatever it touches.
- Swap the bubble you are holding for the one behind it whenever the colour you have has nowhere useful to go.
Obstacles
- An armoured bubble is frosted and ringed in white. It still shows its colour and still matches, but the first match only takes the shell off — you have to build a second match around what is left.
- A stone is grey and marked with a hexagon. It has no colour and can never be matched, so the only way to clear it is to cut the bubbles above it loose and let it fall.
- A bomb destroys armour and stone outright, which is what makes it worth saving for a corner you cannot otherwise reach.
